Food For Life

To Whom it DOES concern

Please actively implement processes to actively oppose, prohibit and enforce the opposition of the use of toxic chemicals in the production of our food, the production of genetically modified foods, and the abuse of agricultural animals - during their short lives.

Please educate people in this regard, to make better choices, to stand up for their rights, to oppose toxins in their food and to oppose the abuse.

Please invest in this area. It must be as important as the investment in education, in housing, in social services etc.

Please commit to take this call seriously and to empower people to work with you towards these ends.

Please serve the world that you live in.

Why is this important?

Our food industry, the world over, has become unacceptably adulterated for the benefit of profit and at the expense of our health and the well being of our agricultural animals and crops.

The use of toxic chemicals, genetically modified foods, the literal abuse of agricultural animals - during their short lives and in their killing - needs to be actively opposed, prohibited, and such active prohibition must be vehemently enforced.

The facts speak for themselves. There is a wealth of information available showing you how things really are, only if you look for it or really HEAR it when it shows up on your face book or twitter account, and like.

These are all the horrible and REAL things that we don't WANT to see, that we DO NOT see, that happen ALL THE TIME behind the scenes:

When we are buying our spatchcock chicken for the braai on Saturday, that screamed with terror before it was killed, shrills you would never forget, or was thrown abusively into a trough like an inanimate object to sleep at night, or that lived in darkness it's entire life.

Or when we are eating our bacon and eggs, the pigs being terrified in their last moments of life while being crushed under weight to 'economically' mass slaughter, the eggs of the chickens developed unnaturally so, causing much physical distress to the chickens themselves.

And even to munching on our genetically modified popcorn while watching television, that one can hardly call real food.

Agricultural so abused, with what they are fed, how they are bread, how they live, how they die. So abused far beyond what we would accept in any situation in society.

And crops so adulterated that we have no idea the impact that it has on our own health - until we make an effort to investigate, or until it is too late for our health to know better and to do something about it.

This information should be freely available and always at the fore front of knowledge about our food. But if that were the case, we would all certainly eat organic vegan. And so we should, at this stage at least, while the issue is so unregulated, unenforced, unopposed and unapologetically allowed.

People need to know about this. We need the education to make better choices, and education on how to stand up for our rights, to oppose toxins in our food and to oppose the abuse - abuse of not only agricultural animals but to oppose our very own abuse by the food industry itself.

We need investment in this area. It must be as important as education, as housing, as social services and like.

We need to taking this seriously. This is EVERYONE'S problem and EVERYONE CAN do something about it.

Serve the world that you live in. It is all we have. What keeps us alive, is all we have.
